In between the study at INSEAD in Abu Dhabi I’ve managed to get out for some city walking to see some of the sites here including the impressive Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque pictured below. No city visit is complete without a visit to the local historic religious sites. While this one is relatively new, constructed from 1996 to 2007, it is no less impressive. Myriad archways surround the huge courtyard and the ornate Islamic mosaic brought back memories of my visit to the Alhambra in Spain many years ago. Perfect place for an early evening urban walk and a low-key adventure.
